Glass tower #1
A grab shot in Manchester. I liked the reflection of the yellow building in the glass of the tower. Maybe the saturation is a bit surreal but given the perspective distortion of looking straight up, it seems that realism will never be a selling point for this image. An example of the choices that digital processing allows. Possibly I’ve pushed the effect too far? I’m not going to worry because after all, it’s only pixels.

Green field
I thought this field had the look of a man made scene. I suppose from a long term perspective almost all of the UK looks like it does because of the effects of humans over time. The current move away from agriculture seems certain to effect views like this as there are fewer and fewer people farming the land which undoubtedly will change the way it is maintained. I suspect this generation will see the biggest change to the look of farmland since the enclosure acts of the mid to late c18th.
